Terms And Conditions

We love having happy customers. When you’re delighted with the services we provide, we’re happy too. We do everything we can to ensure you love what we have done and are happy to recommend people you know to us.

Here are our standard terms and conditions.

  1. The placement of an order implies acceptance of these terms of trade. 
  2. Deposits are non refundable, (this does not affect your statuatory rights). 
  3. Full payment is required before we can deliver the kitchen to your home and installation can commence. The balance is non refundable (this does not affect your statutory rights). Property in and ownership of the goods will not pass until payment in full has been received by Das Küchen Studio. 
  4. We will agree mutually agreed delivery and installation dates. You need to give us at least 3 working days notice if you wish to reschedule any agreed dates. We rely upon our suppliers and contractors to do the best to keep the to the timescales we agree with you. Despite our best efforts we can’t absolutely guarantee meeting specific dates as timescales can slip due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. When this happens we will keep you fully informed. 
  5. When we finish your kitchen we will ensure that its as perfect as it was designed to be. Sometimes it’s necessary for us or our suppliers to return and make adjustments or replace items. We’ll let you know should this be necessary. 
  6. Access to your premises shall be made by mutual appointment. If access is not given at the time agreed, the customer is liable for the reasonable cost of storage, re-delivery and the cost of the time of all staff made available in respect of any appointment not kept by the customer. 
  7. All goods are at the risk of the customer as soon as they are collected or delivered. You, the customer are solely responsible for the security and safety of goods while they are at your property waiting to be installed. 
  8. Granites and wood veneers are natural products. Das Küchen Studio can not be held responsible for natural variations in colour or pattern. In each case the best available match will be supplied with orders. 
  9. Our kitchen units are all made in Germany to the highest standard and are guaranteed for 5 years on the furniture and 2 years on mechanical parts. The appliances are, depending on the manufacturer and type (or special promotion), covered by the manufacturers’ guarantee from between 2 and 10 years. 
  10. If your site has access restrictions, we may have to adapt the design to allow goods to be delivered. We will mark these on the plans should this be necessary. e.g. as granite has to be carried horizontally by a team of people, should it not be possible to deliver a long length of granite to your site we will adapt the design to use smaller pieces of granite. 
  11. We take great pride in our work, should there be anything that you notice about the kitchen after it is completed, please let us know as soon as possible if it is serious so that we can take action, or at the latest within 7 days after the kitchen is installed. 
  12. Should there be any manufacturing defects in the supplied goods, Das Küchen Studio will liaise with the manufacturer of the goods to replace the goods. However in all cases the liability for manufacturing defects of any goods supplied will rest with the manufacturer of the goods. 
  13. We cannot accept responsibility for damage to or severance of any cables, wires or pipes laid in or under the floor or wall, unless the position of the pipes or cables has been clearly marked and brought our attention. The company shall not be liable for any consequences of such damage. 
  14. The customer is responsible for the protection of floor coverings, fixtures and fittings and fragile objects that will be in the path of goods being delivered. Das Küchen Studio will taken utmost care when delivering goods but can not be held responsible for any damage caused to these items.  
  15. We provide great aftercare to you and all our clients. However, if you owe us money after the kitchen is installed, we will not be able to honour any guarantees, or perform remedial work until your account is fully settled. Also we may also ask you to pay up-front for any additional works. 
  16. We shouldn’t have to say this, but Das Küchen Studio can not be held liable for fitting goods that have not been ordered from us. If you choose to buy parts of the kitchen independently you are liable for their fitting and any damage that you cause to the kitchen in fitting the goods and any damage to gas/electrical/water connections. 
  17. We expect you to take excellent care of your kitchen as we are not responsible for any accidental damage by you or general wear and tear over the years of kitchen enjoyment. This includes, but is not limited to knocks and scratches, water damage, natural mellowing, hot or heavy objects placed directly onto work surfaces. 
  18. We are a small business and provide a personal service that is hard to beat. However this level of service means that we may be working with another customer when you phone or email. Rest assured that we will receive your messages and contact you should there be anything that requires your attention. 
  19. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at 3% over the bank of england base rate. 
  20. Our staff have the right to be treated with dignity and respect whilst at work, not to be threatened or subject to inappropriate or offensive language. We will treat you with professional respect and dignity and expect the same from our customers. We reserve the right to withdraw our services from customers who are in breach of this condition.
  21. Force Majuere The performance of all contracts is subject to any act of God, war, strike, lock-out, fire, flood, drought, tempest of any other cause beyond the control of the company and the company shall not be held responsible for failure to deliver or comply with a contract due to any such
